Emtech Bio membership is open to start-up and early-stage
bioscience companies that have a need for laboratory space. Preference
is given to companies that have an association with Emory University
and/or The Georgia Institute of Technology.
To be considered for membership, Please prepare and
send an Executive Summary which should include:
- An introduction
- A description of the technology or products
- An overview of the market for the technology or products
- A description of the business model
- An overview of the competition
- Financial projections for first five years; and
- CV of each principal involved.
If you have a Business Plan prepared, please submit
it.
Submit your Executive Business Summary in Microsoft
Word (.doc) or Acrobat Reader format (.pdf) along with a cover letter

We are looking for companies that meet, or are moving
toward meeting these criteria:
- Bioscience Industry - Biotechnology, pharmaceutical,
therapeutic, diagnostic, medical device or other bioscience.
- Relationship to Georgia Tech or Emory University
- Includes faculty founders, IP licenses/options/research agreements
or other.
- Market Opportunity - Significant multi-million
dollar market potential.
- Business Model - for profit and not in direct
competition with any other company currently in residence at
(or affiliated with) Emtech Bio.
- Intellectual Property - portfolio of patents
issued, pending or other.
- Job Creation - expected to contribute to
employment in Atlanta, or Georgia.
- Financial Status - Some funding secured,
enabling business model concept validation
- Management Experience - Established track
record within the industry application or analogous industry
experience. Relevant experience outlined in Business Plan
